A parent-teacher partnership is not just the old-school parents-teacher meeting, it’s more like a group of adults working together to make a child do his best. As you know, education does not stop at your school, you will learn a lot of things outside of it. And to prepare for the outside world, and to be successful in your way of life you need to know at least what is what. That part will be taken care of by your teachers at school, by your parents at home, and by the community. So, what if a parent and teacher tag team up to provide the best for children, it will be more than enough to have a happy and successful life.
Have heard of the term ‘Matha, Pitha, Guru, Daivam?’ It’s an ancient and popular Sanskrit phrase, and it stands for ‘Mother, Father, Teacher, God.’
As the phrase suggests teachers before god, and parents before teachers. Parents are the first mentors for a child, nurturing them from the time of their birth. And, for a child, their parents are their role models who have a big impact on their behavior, attitude, values, and morals. The COVID-19 pandemic had a big impact on the way of a child’s education. With, more time to spend with parents rather than with teachers, had significantly showed the importance of education at home.
As for the role of a parent in their child’s education at school, it is all good as long as they encourage and provide the needed support. And, create an environment that allows your child to fail and learn from it can infuse curiosity within them. Which, in turn, ensures that your child gets the right development where they can feel the openness.
For a child, teachers are the rays of light that will guide them through their lives till a point by helping them acquire knowledge, competence, and virtue through the process called teaching. By getting them ready for the outside world through fun activities, sharing real-life knowledge, tracking improvements, and encouraging them. Creating leaders of tomorrow with the right guidance by providing the necessary support and making their students walk through the path they want to.
So, it can be said that teachers are like parents outside of your home, as they are the people who spend a lot of time with you in school.
